Mount Kilimanjaro, a Crown of Tanzania and Roof of Africa, is Africa’s highest mountain and the world’s tallest free-standing peak. Its peak Stands at 5,875 meters above sea level. Kilimanjaro is also distinctive, located just 330km from the equator.
Mount Kilimanjaro includes three volcanic summits: Shira, at 3,962 m, and Mawenzi, at 5,149 m. The oldest peak is already extinct, and the youngest summit, Kibo, at 5,895 m, is considered a dormant volcano that could become active in the future.
Compared with other Mount Meru and other climbing peaks in the region, Mount Kilimanjaro is relatively easy compared to climbing difficulties and physical demands. It doesn’t accommodate only professional climbers who attempt the ascent, although with a good level of fitness and following climbing guides provided, the climb becomes more convenient. With the support of our experienced guide team, we can get you to reach the Kilimanjaro summit, where you’ll have a chance to look across Africa from its roof.
Our mountain climbing guide and all the kits provided will ensure your trekking to the summit is as safe and easy as possible. Our experienced guides have enough knowledge and experience going back several years on various routes and the changing climate conditions, allowing them to foresee changes and sometimes make route recommendations and alterations to avoid potential accidents.
– Mwalimu J.K. Nyerere, Tanzania’s father of the nation, said on 22nd October 1959. We quote, “We, the people of Tanganyika, would like to light a candle and put it on the top of Mount Kilimanjaro which would shine beyond our borders giving hope where there was despair, love where there was hate and dignity where there was before only humiliation.”
